Horrayy! It's 2021!

I have been silent for years. . . thinking that this blog is going nowhere. But recently, someone messaged and told me that he got inspired with this blog and he even encouraged me to continue blogging. With all those superlative adjectives, here I am again, facing the computer and contemplating what to write. Since this is a travel blog, i got stuck with this question:

"IN THIS MOST DIFFICULT TIME, SHOULD I WISH FOR ANOTHER TRAVEL?"

I got bullseye with COVID-19 including my husband and son who happened to be the youngest person  infected with covid in our city. Asymptomatic but very traumatic. It wasn't easy. Therefore, travels are put on hold.

2018 BUCKETLIST!

I am no longer the owner of my time. In fact, the term “rest day” is recently declared as a mere privilege. Vacation is too good to be true. Day off is somewhat an opportunity. Life is like that. I can really never tell what lies ahead. Much as I’d wanted to conquer the universe, time became uncooperative. I don’t even know what Holiday break means. But if and only if I am given a chance to have a 3 or more days break, I will really grab that chance to travel to the following places:

            ๐Ÿ”œ Siquijor Island
            ๐Ÿ”œLeyte- Kalanggaman Island
            ๐Ÿ”œ Dakak Beach
            ๐Ÿ”œ Cebu City
            ๐Ÿ”œ Palawan
            ๐Ÿ”œBoracay
            ๐Ÿ”œOther parts of Caraga.

BUKIDNON COOL DISCOVERIES: MY FIRST RESORT HOPPING EXPERIENCE! Part 1

Let’s stop for awhile in wandering to white sand beaches and let us give ourselves a chance to savor what highland has to offer this modern time. Highlands, as expected, blow genuinely fresh and lung-friendly air.

Numerous well-developed waterfalls, startling high ridges, foggy or Baguio-like environment, well-preserved culture and traditions, plenty of agritourism related products, bone-chilling springs, astounding landscapes and the like are the stuffs I used to expect whenever I think of any mountainous area. However, reality has exceeded my expectations as I take my finest leap in every nook and cranny of the place dubbed as “Pineapple Capital of the World”, the BUKIDNON.

I was told that Bukidnon is imbued with competitive inland resorts and absolutely natural wonders. A closer look to the calm and undisturbed forest is somewhat a vitamin to our eyes and our soul. Also, nature’s precious gifts such as springs are being utilized to really give distinction of Bukidnon (knowing that it has plenty of cold springs). One best example is the resort which was merited as the 1st Runner-Up in Child-friendly Resort during 5th Mindanao Leaders and Entrepreneur Awards 2016, the RR Family Spring Resort.

RR spring resort is situated is in Tubigon, Maramag, Bukinon. The primary mode of transportation is the single motor or locally known as “habal-habal”. The entrance fee is only 50Php during daytime. Should you wish to have night swimming, entrance fee is 700Php  for the first 10 persons and 55Php/pax in excess hereof. You also have to pay for the environmental fee amounting to 5Php / pax.

Be chilled in RR and be amazed by its sophisticated landscapes. The place is quite spacious and it has a space for crying babies. I mean, every child will surely appreciate its vibrant cartoon character sculptures.  There are many tempting swimming pools that you can choose from, pools that will totally fit to your height requirements. Better try all pools so you can have something to brag when you’ll go home :-) This resort is something you’ll not feel reluctant to endorse.

The open stylish cottages are well-maintained. Accommodation facilities are elegant. The restaurant and function halls look so classy and modernized. The function halls are really perfect for wedding reception. Where else can you find such recreational destination with a cheaper entrance fee and better amenities? I’m running out of superlatives to describe the place. And because this resort is what everyone is eyeing for (especially during Holidays), brace yourself for crowds all the way.

To cap off my travel escapade in Bukidnon, we went to its famous peak, the Quezon Overview. There we see the wider vista of the province. Indeed its breathtaking view is far beyond what I could have ever imagined, it seems like a mirage. What a cool discoveries! It’s PERFECT!

Add-ons to the captivating view of Bukidnon include the Musuan Peak, it looks like Mayon Volcano. We’ve seen it while we're on our way to Quezon Overview. I just couldn’t dismiss such admiration and even begged my buddy to give me few minutes for picture taking.

Make sure you don’t miss to take pictures Quezon Municipal Hall too! Yikes!

500 DESCENDING STEPS DOWN TO PARADISE: TINAGO FALLS!

My first Iligan escapade experience way back April 5, 2009 can be viewed HERE. It was very fulfilling and it made me wish to visit this magnificent wonder once again.

CY2016 is one of the busiest years in my life. Much as I’d like to travel to places I’ve never set my foot onto, time sadly didn’t permit. Rest days are very limited and often unannounced. The saddest part is that whenever privilege pass or rest day is given to us, money will not cooperate. With a very tight budget, I opted to travel to neighboring region to say hello to beautiful scenery once again.

Five years has flown by so fast. Few years ago, I planned to have a waterfall hopping around Iligan City. Considering that I had an ample time for long travels before, I have had chosen Visayas as my top priority rather than Iligan since I already witnessed its numerous tourist attractions before. Now that the word time turned out to be a mere privilege and journeying to distant places became a big risk, I decided to include Iligan City in my 2016 bucketlist.

Iligan City is one of the best travel options I ever had. It is widely known for its various waterfalls and resorts. One of its assets is the Tinago Falls which nestled in Brgy. Linamon. Tinago is local dialect which simply means hidden.  Indeed, it is hidden paradise filled with mystery. The said place is definitely ideal for holiday vacation, recreation and other forms of leisure.

Going there is fairly easy. You just have to ride a jeepney bound to Borobon and tell the driver that you are heading to Tinago Falls. They will then drop you in area where habal-habal bound for Tinago Falls.

“You will always get what you deserve” as the popular saying goes by. Getting in touch with the majestic waterfall maybe quite exhausting but definitely it’s worth the pain. That more or less 500 descending steps to savor the coldness of the tempting falls is never easy.

REVISITING THE DIVINE MERCY SHRINE: CDO still rocks!

EL SALVADOR DIVINE MERCY

Cagayan de Oro City. It is the home of diverse tourist destinations. It is filled with man-made and natural wonders that grabs everyone's attention. Tourists will not get bored staying here for a period of time since there are so many places or things that are badly waiting for everyone to explore. Seconds, minutes, and hours will not be wasted. Even during night times, there are a lot activities to do aside from window shopping. Bar hopping is one of the options. There are plenty destinations located in nearby areas. You don't need to travel to Bukidnon to fill your itenirary.

This is the panorama of Divine Mercy. This is my worthy second visit of this sacred place. I still appreciate the flowers, the landscape and the solemnity of the place. This second time is way better 'coz I had the chance to enter Jesus' heart and I was able to thank Him wholeheartedly for all the beautiful things He did in my life.

MAPAWA NATURE PARK

Mapawa Nature Park is only 20 minutes away from the city proper.

AMONTAY BEACH RESORT, Nasipit, Agusan del Norte

Are you looking for a very nice swimming pool with attractive ambiance in Agusan del Norte? Amontay Beach Resort is the best place for you.

Amontay Beach Resort is located in Brgy. Amontay, Nasipit, Agusan del Norte. It is quite far and secluded but I can guarantee that it has a romantic atmosphere and it's definitely what honeymooners are eyeing for. Staying here is a little bit pricey but with the amenities it offers, I guess complaining is unreasonable.

3 things I like the most in this resort:

1. Pool is big.
2. Place is very quite.
3. Spacious place.

There are rooms in beachfront. There are also available rooms beside the pool. But if I were to stay here, I'd prefer to stay in a room beside the pool.  I am a beach lover but I also appreciate pools. I have to be brutally honest this time, beach here is not that inviting.

Rooms beside the pool.

Rooms facing the beach.

The unique feature of this resort is the mini bar situated right in the pool. You can just swim and drink right away when you are feeling cold. Varieties of beverages are displayed here. In my travel experience, I've never seen a bar within the pool.

JURASSIC PARK & PUNTA DIWATA CAVE: Carmen, Agusan del Norte has improved a lot!

JURASSIC PARK

Time flies swiftly fast. Once again I am here enjoying the beautiful and tempting scenery of Jurassic Park and Punta Diwata Resort of the progressive municipality of  Carmen, Agusan del Norte. Several friends have asked me as to how this getaway looks like considering that I've been here before. I can still recall how exactly I answered their queries and it goes like "AWESOME, however the road is unpaved so expect the worst."

Despite those butt-aches that I've encountered during my first leap in this place 5 long years ago, I can still remember that I promised myself to be back here in full gear. I mean, I have to bring a better camera to capture every contrary inch of this stunning place.  With those added facilities and well-maintained surroundings, the place has retained its description.  This one-of-a-kind spot is more than worthy for garnering superlative reviews from critics and travelers. This tourist destination is the nicest place in Agusan del Norte, I bet!
